Khongjom Day:

Ir is celebrated in Manipur every year on April 23 to pay tribute to the war heroes of Anglo-Manipuri War 1891 who had sacrificed their lives fighting against the British to protect the freedom of Manipur. The Anglo-Manipur War was an armed conflict between the British Empire and the Kingdom of Manipur. The war lasted between 31 March and 27 April 1891, ending in a British victory.

 

Article 164(4):
Article 164(4) in The Constitution Of India 1949
(4) A Minister who for any period of six consecutive months is not a member of the Legislature of the State shall at the expiration of that period cease to be a Minister

Article 164 of the Constitution allows a non-legislator to occupy a post in the council of ministers, including the office of the chief minister for six months.

 

NanoBlitz 3D:

International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI) has developed an advanced tool NanoBlitz 3D. It is used for mapping Nano-mechanical properties of materials like multi-phase alloys, composites, and multi-layered coatings. It can measure hardness and elastic modulus of a given material.

 

Operation Twist:

Operation Twist is a program of quantitative easing used by the Federal Reserve. The so-called “twist” in the operation occurs whenever the Fed uses the proceeds of its sales from short-term Treasury bills to buy long-term Treasury notes. Operation Twist is a move taken by U.S. Federal Reserve in 2011-12 to make long-term borrowing cheaper. It first appeared in 1961 as a way to strengthen the U.S. dollar and stimulate cash flow into the economy.
